Music MinistryJoin together in song, under the talented direction of our choir director. Rehearsals on Wednesday afternoons, 1 pm in the Hospitality Room for English, 6:30 pm in the Hospitality Room for Spanish. Eucharistic AdorationFirst Friday of the month after the 8:00 AM mass from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM year round. The Blessed Sacrament is exposed and adored for one hour or more to pray before the Lord Jesus present in the Monstrance. Finance CouncilAdvises the Pastor on financial matters of the parish and school. Responsible for monitoring all income and expenses, and approving the annual budgets. Offertory CountersA group that counts the funds collected at Mass each week on Monday. Parish Pastoral CouncilThe PPC is involved in most activities and programs effecting the liturgical and spiritual life of St. Francis Xavier Parish. Altar Servers (Acolytes)Young men and women who assist at Mass or Funeral masses to enhance the worship of our faith community. UshersVolunteers who assist people to their seat if necessary. They also take up the collection. GuadalupanosA group of people with devotion to the Holy Mother of God, the Virgin Mary of the Americas, Our Lady of Guadalupe. Meet on the second Saturday of each month, 11:30 am in the Hospitality Room. |
Tuesday Night Prayer Group in Spanish, Grupo de OracionJoin us Tuesday nights at 7 pm in the Parish Hall to praise and worship in Spanish. Altar ServerBoys and girls from grade 3 and above who assist the priest at the liturgy. Baptism PreparationPreparing parents for the formation of their child’s faith. Extraordinary Ministers of Holy CommunionExtraordinary Ministers of Communion who serve the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass and to the sick and homebound. Fellowship CommitteeVolunteers who coordinate social activities and gatherings of parishioners during the year. Ground & Building CommitteeVolunteers who care for and beautify the grounds and church. GreetersParish volunteers who warmly welcome parishioners as they enter the Church for Mass. LectorsReader who proclaim the Scriptures at Mass and other services. Altar SocietyResponsible for the preparation and care of the altar linens. This includes the washing and ironing of purificators, corporals, and altar linens. RCIARite of Christian Initiation – preparation of adult candidates for Catholic sacraments. SacristanDuties include preparing the altar for Mass and cleaning the altar following Mass. Saint Vincent DePaulProvides emergency food boxes for those in need. Meet the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month, 6:30 pm in the Hospitality Room. |
